ICS Medical Devices partnered with a leading cardiovascular innovator to develop the catheter shafts for their breakthrough miniature heart pump, designed to provide temporary mechanical circulatory support. Initially engaged at the concept stage, ICS rapidly delivered functional prototypes to support early feasibility and design validation. As the program progressed, ICS transitioned to manufacturing commercial-grade delivery systems, now supporting the customer’s clinical trials with precision-engineered catheter shafts optimized for performance, flexibility, and reliability in demanding cardiac environments.

Rapid Sheath and Delivery System Innovation

Faced with challenges using existing market access sheaths for their novel heart failure diagnostic implant, our customer needed a rapid solution ahead of a fast-approaching clinical trial. ICS Medical Devices responded swiftly, engineering a custom sheath variant tailored for safe and effective delivery during the trial. In parallel, we collaborated with the customer to design and manufacture a fully customized, optimized delivery system—purpose-built for commercial launch. This dual-path approach ensured clinical success while laying the foundation for scalable, market-ready production.
