  • Senior R&D Project Manager

Role 

  • ICS Medical Devices are seeking a Project Administrator to support its growing business. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a project coordination /administration setting in a customer centric dynamic and fast paced environment.
    The person should be capable of data analysis, problem solving, forward thinking and project planning. The person should be an excellent team player with excellent communication (verbal, written etc) and reporting skills and possess ability to work to key dates and deadlines.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and administering project financials and reporting project performance. This role will be part of the project administration team and report to the Snr R&D Project Manager.
  • They will provide back up support to the Accounts Payable Administrator. In their absence, duties to include;
  • • Accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • • Answer and direct telephone calls/queries to the right staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager and project teams to manage schedule and budgets/financials of projects at ICS Medical Devices.
  • Accurate and timely data analysis for each project, support project invoicing and project performance measures.
  • Accurate and timely monthly reporting of project performance (time, cost and quality) to team and customers, as per financial month end timelines.
  • Supporting the project leads / project manager in coordination of projects and team activities as per defined project plan.
  • Coordination of customer visits etc to the ICS Medical Devices site.
  • Support internal purchasing, billing, simple booking etc when required by the business.
  • Project file management and maintenance.
  • Execution of various project tasks and ad hoc projects as required by the team leader and project teams.
  • Back up for: Project Timesheets, purchasing, invoicing and billing function and ICS teams in the absence of Projects Administrator.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential. Strong Microsoft word and excel knowledge a must have.
  • Ability to use software like QuickBooks, HR Locker, or other Time management systems an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills. Numerical literacy is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in working with teams and in customer service or customer centric roles.
  • Be able to work to deadlines.
  • Further education in project skills or a similar discipline would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working in the medical device field will be an advantage but not required.
  • An engineering, science or, business, administration related degree, diploma, or certificate.
